The Tennessee Titans are through the first wave of NFL free agency. General manager Mike Borgonzi prioritized the trenches, as he said he would. The Titans drastically improved their offensive line by signing left tackle Dan Moore Jr. and right guard Kevin Zeitler.

Things have settled down in free agency, though the Titans are still equipped with roughly $37.2 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap. Borgonzi appears to have shifted attention to the NFL draft, where the Titans possess the No. 1 overall pick, with Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward staring them in the face. Until then, Borgonzi could target the following still-available free agents to bolster the roster.

Elijah Moore, WR

Wide receiver remains the most pressing need on the Titans' roster. They entered free agency with multiple requirements at the position, and they've actually gotten worse by swapping Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for Van Jefferson. Borgonzi is showing some interest in available pass catchers, having hosted Rondale Moore on a visit before he signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Pivoting to Elijah Moore would be a wise decision. Moore, still 24 years old, is capable of filling the slot-receiver role vacated by Tyler Boyd.

DeMarcus Walker, DE

Defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson has one of the worst edge-rushing groups in the league on paper. The lone additions thus far were Dre'Mont Jones and Lorenzo Carter. Jones is better served to play a versatile inside-outside role as opposed to being a full-time defensive end, and Carter is back-end depth at best. Borgonzi has only signed players who have been incredibly durable. DeMarcus Walker has appeared in all 17 games for three consecutive campaigns. Walker previously played for the Titans, parlaying a career-best year into a lucrative deal with the Chicago Bears.

E.J. Speed, LB

The linebacker position has undergone sweeping changes. Gone are Kenneth Murray, Jack Gibbens, Luke Gifford, Jerome Baker, and Chance Campbell. Borgonzi signed reliable veteran Cody Barton to be the new leader. EJ Speed would be a quality addition, having recorded a career-high 142 tackles for the Indianapolis Colts this past season.

Za'Darius Smith, EDGE

The need at EDGE remains so pressing heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. Veteran pass rusher Za'Darius Smith would join Jones and Arden Key in a new-look room. Smith remained effective throughout 2024, recording nine total sacks (split with the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions) and 63 pressures., 10th most in the league at his position according to Pro Football Focus.
