Titans can't afford to ignore these remaining free agents before training camp

Offseason rankings are fun to look at, but the Tennessee Titans' roster doesn't grade out very favorably according to different media outlets.

No one would say the Titans have a top 12-15 roster in the NFL. Too much of that evaluation would involve making big projections for players who haven't proven themselves as Pro Bowlers or better yet.

With training camp around the corner, the Titans' front office has had a chance to sit back and evaluate where there are evident holes in the roster. There are a few holes more obvious than others, and fans have been clamouring for them to make a few moves.

Some of the players who could have solved their problems are off the market, which makes it even more important that the Titans sign some or all of these players while they have a chance.

Titans should consider the following free agents before training camp begins

Greg Van Roten, iOL

Justin Melo brought this up more than three months ago, but Greg Van Roten is an easy fit in the Titans' offense. Titans new offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo is very highly regarded, and Van Roten has been his starting right guard for three straight seasons at two different stops.

If Van Roten wants to play and if the Titans are unimpressed by their current right guard options, this should be a no-brainer.

Joey Bosa, EDGE

Last season, Nick Bosa missed the chance to play for Robert Saleh in his prime due to an early-season injury. Saleh responded by getting the most out of a group of below-average EDGEs like Clelin Ferrell, Bryce Huff, and Sam Okuayinonu and finding ways to make the defense work at a high level.

This year, he will be armed with a more talented group of EDGEs at the top that includes Jermaine Johnson II and first-round pick Keldric Faulk. Behind them, the Titans are pinning their hopes on Femi Oladejo, but he missed all of OTAs with a nagging injury.

If the Titans can make it worth his while, Bosa might be able to do what his brother couldn't last season, and that is play with one of the best defensive minds in the NFL.

Kenny Moore, CB

Marcus Harris had some positive moments as a sixth-round rookie last year, but the Titans would be smart to bring in someone like Kenny Moore, who has years of experience as an impact starter. Not only has Moore been a starter for years, but he has been an active blitzer and a good contributor against the run.

Combine his experience with Titans DC Gus Bradley and his AFC South familiarity, and it seems like a no-brainer to bring Moore in for a year or two. If Harris is so good that he usurps Moore, then you have a great problem on your hands.
