The Tennessee Titans are expected to trade 2024 starting quarterback Will Levis at some point this offseason. The team clinched the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft after posting an NFL-worst 3-14 record. The expectation is they'll select Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward with that pick.

The Titans have been preparing for Levis' inevitable departure all offseason long. New general manager Mike Borgonzi signed two veteran quarterbacks via unrestricted free agency in Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle. Allen especially fits as a veteran backup to a rookie quarterback considering he has played for head coach Brian Callahan in the past. He's someone who can help Ward learn the offense in training camp.

When sorting through Levis' potential landing spots, a major one just emerged. The New Orleans Saints may be without veteran starting quarterback Derek Carr for the entire 2025 campaign, a bombshell report just noted. Carr is dealing with a serious shoulder injury that may require surgery.

Carr's injury leaves the Saints with inexperienced quarterbacks Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener as the healthy signal callers on their roster. General manager Mickey Loomis heads into the 2025 NFL Draft owning the No. 9 overall selection. Would the Saints select Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders with that pick, if he slides that far? Or would Loomis reach for Jaxson Dart or Jalen Milroe at No. 9?

Or would the Saints be willing to tank the upcoming campaign by rolling with some combination of Rattler and Haener under center? It's worth noting Loomis has routinely been hesitant to oversee a legitimate rebuild in New Orleans. He's consistently manipulated the salary in an attempt to field an annual contender.

The Saints have a first-year head coach in Kellen Moore. Moore is an offensive-minded leader who won a Super Bowl as the offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles last season. A former quarterback himself, he would represent an ideal candidate to try and maximize Levis' physical talent. As poor as Levis played throughout 2024, he still possesses more long-term upside than Haener and Rattler.

The Titans may attempt to trade Levis during the 2025 NFL Draft. The Saints are now a QB-desperate franchise following the unexpected injury to Carr, their planned starter. With Levis searching for a fresh start, pairing up with Moore in New Orleans may represent his best chance to revive his career.
