The Tennessee Titans have miles to go if they want to become instantly competitive within the AFC South in 2026. It’s been a successful offseason for them so far with the hiring of Robert Saleh, and they have hired solid coordinators in Brian Daboll and Gus Bradley. However, it’s time for Mike Borgonzi to surround the coaching staff with talent.

Even though the Titans just have to focus on themselves, they may have to wonder what moves the Texans, Colts, and Jaguars may also make. Jacksonville and Houston are playoff caliber teams, and they have some great matchup advantages. At the same time, they also have limitations and may look to swing big this offseason.

When you look at the Jaguars specifically, they have shown that they will be aggressive with moves. They traded up for Travis Hunter in the draft last year, and acquired Jakobi Meyers at the trade deadline last season. Don’t think that they won’t try to acquire more serious talent...including Maxx Crosby, who could very well be on his way out of Las Vegas.

Titans fans must hope Jaguars-Maxx Crosby pairing doesn’t come true

Analysts from NFL.com put together the best trade fits for Crosby and former Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew listed the Jaguars as a fit for Crosby.

"Jacksonville just ranked 21st in pass defense and 27th in sacks, withleading the way with eight QB takedowns. Crosby would provide a much-needed boost to the defensive line and another dynamic pass rusher opposite Hines-Allen. With Crosby, the Jags could be true Super Bowl contenders." said Jones-Drew.

Jacksonville managed to become the NFL’s top run-defense and if they were able to add Crosby opposite of Josh Hines-Allen, that would be totally unfair to have to gameplan for. The good news for Titans fans is that Jacksonville doesn’t have a first round pick this year to use as part of a trade package, which could hurt their chances.

However, we have seen all kinds of trades that involve first-rounders and some without. Either way, while the Titans can only control what they do, they better hope that one of their division rivals doesn’t make a huge splash to put them ahead even further.
