With the number one pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select... We don't know the answer to that question yet but one of the potential picks for the Titans is Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
The Hurricanes quarterback was under some fire for sitting out during the second half of his team's bowl game and knows that's going to come up when interviewing with teams ahead of the draft. He knows what he's going to tell teams when the topic comes up.
“Okay, you’re either going to draft me or you’re not,” Ward said. “If you don’t draft me, that’s your fault. You’ve got to remember you’re the same team that’s got to play me for the rest of my career, and I’ll remember that.”
Cam Ward tells Titans, other teams that they'll regret not taking him
The Titans will definitely be a team that Ward is upset at if they pass on him and go in another direction since, as of this writing, they hold the top pick in the draft. While Tennessee has shown its open to trading the first overall pick, the Titans desperately need a quarterback so staying put and taking either Ward or Shedeur Sanders feels like the likeliest route for them to take.
This is a crummy year to need a quarterback, as Ward and Sanders are the two best options in the draft but are by no means top-tier prospects at the position. That being said, Ward had a terrific year at Miami in 2024, throwing for over 4,300 yards, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while rushing for 204 yards and four scores with his legs.
Ward is telling the Titans (and any other team that has a shot at drafting him) to do so or they'll regret having to face him throughout his career. Will the Titans end up taking him first overall or will Ward be trying to get revenge on the Titans once he's in the league?
