Pre-draft touchpoints are often telling regarding a team's NFL Draft plans. Nowadays, there are a variety of ways teams can meet with a prospect. In addition to bringing them to town for a pre-draft visit, there are NFL Combine and all-star game meetings, and virtual meetings via Zoom.

The Tennessee Titans have utilized nearly every opportunity at their disposal to meet with South Alabama wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett. They first met Pritchett at the Senior Bowl, where all 32 teams had sit-down meetings with every prospect in attendance. Sources later confirmed to Titan Sized that a virtual meeting had taken place between club and receiver. Now, Easton Freeze is reporting they hosted the Jaguars standout on an in-person visit, making it at least three 2025 NFL Draft touchpoints.

All signs point to Titans drafting Jamaal Pritchett

Pritchett was a workhorse for South Alabama this past campaign. The Jackson native recorded 91 receptions for 1,127 yards and nine touchdowns. The one negative is Pritchett is considered severely undersized to play a full-time wide receiver role at the next level at 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds.

Despite his 2024 production and Senior Bowl showing, Pritchett was snubbed from receiving an NFL Combine invitation. He instead took advantage of his Pro Day opportunity by reportedly running the 40-yard dash between 4.39 and 4.41 seconds. Pritchett also leaped a 9-foot-9 broad jump.

The Titans are entering the draft with a huge need at receiver. They currently have Calvin Ridley and no other proven assets at the position. They signed Van Jefferson and James Proche II in free agency. As constructed, they are overly reliant on first-round bust Treylon Burks and sophomore undrafted free agent Bryce Oliver to produce something meaningful in 2025.

Alternatively, the Titans could view Pritchett as an upgrade on special teams. Pritchett returned 12 punts at South Alabama this past campaign for 183 yards and a touchdown. Rookie sixth-round pick Jha'Quan Jackson was the Titans' initial punt returner last season, but was eventually benched due to ball security issues. Jackson returned 28 punts for 215 yards, averaging just 7.7 yards per return, and was replaced by practice squad call-up Mason Kinsey.

Pritchett led the FBS in 2024 with 759 yards after the catch (154 yards more than the next closest player), per Pro Football Focus. Pritchett's 29 forced missed tackles finished tied for third with Tetairoa McMillan, a projected first-round pick. Perhaps the Titans see next-level potential.
