The Tennessee Titans underwent major roster changes this offseason. General manager Mike Borgonzi spent aggressively in free agency to upgrade the team. The Titans also made eight selections throughout the 2026 NFL Draft.
The roster looks considerably different at OTAs than it did last season. A number of new Titans are making quick impressions at practice, veterans and rookies alike. Robert Saleh is learning the inner workings of his roster.
With this in mind, we've identified four potential Titans surprises. Various veterans and rookies are already emerging as keynote contributors. With Coach Saleh spearheading the rebuild, the following newcomers could shock.
Tennessee Titans surprises who could launch 2026 bounce-back
Wan'Dale Robinson, WR
Much of the OTA emphasis at wide receiver has understandably centered around Carnell Tate's dominance, but don't forget about Wan'Dale Robinson. The Titans paid him $70 million to reunite with Brian Daboll. He's coming off his first professional 1,000-yard season and has recorded 90+ catches in back-to-back campaigns. Tate may be Tennessee's big ticket at wideout, but Robinson may be the more reliable, volume-hog target underneath the coverage.
Jordan Elliott, DT
Coach Saleh has discussed how his defensive line will rely heavily on rotation. With new addition John Franklin-Myers occasionally playing on the edges, his versatility frees up reps for fellow newcomer Jordan Elliott inside. Saleh coached Elliott in San Francisco last season and obviously played a large role in his recruitment to Tennessee.
Austin Schlottmann, IOL
Questions about the interior of the offensive line are a big hang-up at OTAs. There appears to be no competition for the center spot. Peter Skoronski may have accidentally revealed that free-agent signing Austin Schlottmann is the starting center. Schlottmann started four games for Daboll last season and the Titans are reliant on his football I.Q. to provide steady results.
Anthony Hill Jr., LB
The Titans traded up into the second round to select linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. The former Texas Longhorns standout possesses every athletic trait Coach Saleh appreciates in second-level defenders. Hill has already registered an interception pick-six at OTAs, and is working to grow and develop at a position where the Titans also have Cedric Gray and veteran Cody Barton.
