Tennessee Titans cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis played his second consecutive game in Sunday's 34-26 Week 17 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Titans claimed Armour-Davis off waivers in August at final cuts. An NFL-high four teams submitted a claim for Armour-Davis on waivers. The Titans were awarded him because they possessed the No. 1 priority as a result of having the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Armour-Davis had struggled in coverage this season. Pro Football Focus credited him with allowing 24 receptions on 31 targets for 346 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterbacks were enjoying a passer rating of 134.6 when targeting him in coverage.
Armour-Davis is on a one-year contract with the Titans as a result of going through the waiver wire claims process. A serious Achilles injury often carries an 8-12 month recovery timeline. That's gutting news for a fringe-roster player like Armour-Davis.
Armour-Davis was struggled for the Titans. General manager Mike Borgonzi is almost certainly going to revamp the cornerback room this offseason. Armour-Davis' Achilles injury essentially guarantees he won't be back with the Titans in 2026.
