The Tennessee Titans are not playing on Christmas Day despite six total teams being in action. Instead, the Titans are preparing for Sunday's final home game of the 2025 season. They'll host the New Orleans Saints in Week 17 at Nissan Stadium before traveling to Florida next weekend for the regular-season finale with the Jaguars in Jacksonville.

The 3-12 Titans are preparing for another busy offseason ahead. General manager Mike Borgonzi will hire a head coach who will be tasked with helping the Titans complete the turnaround. Developing rookie quarterback Cam Ward is at the forefront of the upcoming offseason.

Borgonzi will continue evaluating his rebuilding roster versus the Saints and Jaguars. Several Titans players failed to meet expectations this season. We've identified a handful of Titans who dumped a brick of coal in Titans' fans Christmas stockings throughout 2025.

These Titans players disappointed fans in 2025

L'Jarius Sneed, CB

Ran Carthon's gamble to trade for L'Jarius Sneed and sign him to a $76 million contract has backfired miserably. Recurring quad injuries and inconsistent play have dominated Sneed's two years in Nashville. Borgonzi, who ironically helped negotiate the deal with the Titans as a member of the Chiefs' front office, will almost certainly cut ties with the overpaid cornerback this offseason.

Arden Key, EDGE

Arden Key hasn't been a consistent enough pass rusher for the Titans this campaign. He ranks fourth on the defense in QB takedowns with 4.0 (behind Dre'Mont Jones, who was traded in October). Key recently landed himself in the coaching staff's dog house for complaining about halftime adjustments. He's on an expiring contract and won't return in 2026.

Femi Oladejo, EDGE

The Titans have been thrilled with the production from their rookie class. Unfortunately that sentiment doesn't extend to second-round pick Femi Oladejo. The raw pass rusher produced zero sacks in six appearances before landing on IR with a serious injury. Oladejo will try returning to the lineup prior to season's end.

Jalyn Armour-Davis, CB

There were talks that the Titans potentially landed a "steal" when they were awarded cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis off waivers. Multiple teams submitted a waiver claim, but the Titans were awarded Armour-Davis because they had top priority on the wire. The cornerback has struggled in coverage, allowing 24 receptions on 31 targets for 346 yards and two touchdowns, per Pro Football Focus.

Tyler Lockett, WR/Quandre Diggs, S

Borgonzi added two veterans during the offseason wide receiver Tyler Lockett and safety Quandre Diggs. The prevailing thought was that Lockett and Diggs would add much-needed leadership to a young locker room. Well, both underperforming vets were released roughly two months into the season. They were forgettable in 2025.
