Tennessee Titans fans could count on one hand the number of times that their starting quarterback has thrown multiple interceptions in a training camp practice, but everyone universally agreed that the offense won the day. However, that is exactly what happened on the first day of padded practices, and it is a great reminder of two things.
First, stats lie. Even though Cam Ward threw two interceptions, he was electric on Monday by all accounts. Nick Suss summed his day up perfectly with this post:

The second lesson to take from Monday's practice is that this is a new era for the Titans. Ward isn't the kind of quarterback who lets a bad play derail the entire offense. He has a next-snap mentality, and he isn't going to back down from anything. His mindset is that if he gets the ball again, he wants to score, and he puts all the work in behind the scenes to make that goal a reality.

What makes Ward special is that this doesn't mean he is going to go out and spam the same play over and over, or that he is going to target his safety blanket. On Saturday, he had a great connection with Wan'Dale Robinson that sparked the crowd, but on Monday he was creating explosive plays with Elic Ayomanor and Calvin Ridley.
Keep in mind, the team hasn't even started to feed Carnell Tate the way they eventually will, and then you have players like Gunnar Helm and Tyjae Spears who are quietly making things happen in the background.
For the first time in a long time, the Titans have an offense that can win in multiple ways by giving the ball to any one of several options. Sure, a defense with Jeffery Simmons, John Franklin-Myers, Jermaine Johnson, Cedric Gray, Amani Hooker, Cor'Dale Flott, and Alontae Taylor is going to make their fair share of plays, but this offense isn't going to back down, and now they are showing that they are going to bring the fight to the defense.
This is a great sign for this young team, and it may be the first real indicator that things are changing in Tennessee and that this team might be ready to compete week in and week out in 2026.
