The Tennessee Titans will begin training camp on July 23rd, when rookies report to Vanderbilt Health Football Center. The veterans will join them on July 28th. It'll provide an opportunity for the rookie class to make an impression on Robert Saleh while preparing for the 2026 campaign.
The Titans made three selections within the opening 60 picks of the 2026 NFL Draft. Naturally, the majority of attention belongs to Carnell Tate, Keldric Faulk, and Anthony Hill Jr. But a Day Three Titans pick is also generating offseason hype.
Tate and Faulk both figure to land immediate impact roles in the Titans' plans. Elsewhere, seventh-round pick Jaren Kanak has emerged as a darkhorse name to watch in Tennessee's crowded tight end room. The former Oklahoma standout is an intriguing athlete with untapped potential to be explored at training camp.
Titans could have another big steal in seventh-round rookie Jaren Kanak
Kanak endured an incredibly unique journey to the NFL. He was a run-first high school quarterback who eventually made the transition to linebacker in college. After struggling to see the future pathway there, he switched back to offense, this time tight end, in his final season at Oklahoma. Kanak displayed legitimate potential as a pass catcher.
Kanak is naturally still developing the technical aspects of his skill set at tight end, such as route running and functional in-line blocking. Watching him on tape, you're immediately impressed with his toughness and hands. Kanak was named Third-team All-SEC after recording 44 catches for 533 yards in 13 starts.
The Titans are deep at tight end. Sophomore Gunnar Helm is expected to take a sizable step forward. They also added Daniel Bellinger via a three-year, $24 million contract in free agency. Bellinger is reuniting with new Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
The Titans also have David Martin-Robinson and Kylen Granson competing for 53-man roster spots at tight end. Kanak will have to prove valuable on special teams while showing developmental upside on offense. Kanak possesses the traits required to develop into a late-round gem.
