The Tennessee Titans will take every advantage they can get. Coming off their second consecutive 3-14 season, fans have grown inpatient and demand to see improved results in 2026. General manager Mike Borgonzi has been aggressive and busy this offseason to develop the roster in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
Soon, the Titans will know the official order of their 2026 opponents. The NFL is releasing the complete 2026 schedule on Thursday in primetime fashion. The Titans' strength of schedule indicates they may see a pathway back to competitiveness.
One underrated factor that could help teams successfully navigate the schedule is a limited amount of travel. The Titans aren't playing in any of the nine overseas games in this year's NFL International Series. In great news, the Titans will only travel 18,157 miles this season, according to Bill Speros.
2026 NFL schedule: Tennessee Titans get favorable travel schedule
The Titans are traveling the 18th-most miles of any NFL team this campaign. That means only 14 teams will travel fewer miles than the Titans. That's especially impressive when considering it's Tennessee's turn to play nine road games, versus just eight home contests.
The Titans will play the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Detroit Lions on the road this season. The only difficult road trip that immediately sticks out is the Raiders game. The Titans went to Vegas in 2025 and lost 20-10. That was Brian Callahan's last game in charge.
The rebuilding Titans are attempting to get going back in the right direction under Borgonzi, Robert Saleh, and Brian Daboll. Every hidden advantage matters and can provide a much-needed jolt in the arm for a young roster. Limiting travel could ensure a well-rested Titans team is prepared for the grind of the 2026 NFL campaign.
