Even as the 2026 NFL Draft comes closer, the rumor mill and analyst opinions on the Tennessee Titans' reported interest in Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 4 overall seem to be all over the place.

ESPN's Jordan Reid said that he does not believe Love is coming to the Titans despite the fact that he is the No. 1 player on his big board. He cited the fact that GM Mike Borgonzi comes from a Kansas City Chiefs organization that historically uses top picks on premium positions other than running back.

Field Yates said that Tennessee could add Love, his No. 2 overall prospect, to the mix in a more milquetoast assessment. He did note that many executives around the league believe that the Titans will take Love if push comes to shove.

Matt Miller not only believes the Titans will select Love, but he is a strong advocate of them doing so. Not only does he believe that Tennessee's free agency spending has put them in a position to take the best player available, but he added that he thinks the New York Giants will take Love at No. 5 if the Titans do not.

ESPN analysts mixed on Titans picking Jeremiyah Love in NFL Draft

Love is getting to the point where finding any major faults in him as a prospect feels like nitpicking. His combination of power, vision, and speed in the open field give him some big-play potential and the ability to grind out tough yards. Expecting 1,000 yards every year should be the standard.

Tony Pollard should not be considered an obstacle for Love, as he has not put together the type of production that would warrant Tennessee passing on a potentially elite upgrade. After spending their cap space on defense in the offseason, the attention now turns to getting Cam Ward some extra weapons.

An edge rusher could make sense, but there's a good chance that Arvell Reese and David Bailey are both off the board when Tennessee comes to pick at No. 4 overall. If Robert Saleh is the defensive whiz he reports to be, the reinforcements he added in the offseason should be more than enough to field a stellar defense.

Love is the type player who could become the next great Titan running back if he clicks, and if Ward is as good as his arm talent suggests, those two could give this team a very high floor for the next few seasons.
