NFL insider casts serious doubt on Titans’ Jeremiyah Love dream with latest intel

As the 2026 NFL Draft nears, Jeremiyah Love emerged as a likely pick for the Tennessee Titans, but that may no longer be the case.

With the 2026 NFL Draft under a month away, the Tennessee Titans will have a big decision to make with the fourth-overall pick. Throughout draft season, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love has emerged as a popular option for the Titans at No. 4. While that path is still on the table, one NFL insider is cautioning Titans’ fans about getting their hopes up for the dynamic running back.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday, and emphasized that Love will certainly be a top-10 pick. Highlighting how often the running back has been connected to the Titans, Schefter said that he doesn’t get the sense that Love will be heading to Tennessee. However, he made sure to say that things can always change up until draft night.

Adam Schefter says Titans are unlikely to draft Jeremiyah Love, but things could change

The insider went on to explain that while Love going at four to Tennessee or five to the New York Giants, like many have predicted, could come into play by draft night, what he’s hearing now makes the Washington Commanders at No. 7 the most likely landing spot.

That means the Titans would get off to a much different start in the draft than what fans have started to expect. If not Love, Tennessee could pivot to the defensive side of the ball and select an edge defender like Rueben Bain Jr., who was a popular prospect in mock drafts for the Titans early in the draft process.

The Titans did have an aggressive start to free agency, addressing multiple needs on both sides of the ball, so it would make sense that Tennessee’s draft plan is far from final. Additionally, as Schefter repeatedly pointed out, things will continue to unfold and change the closer the draft gets. Teams will start to rearrange their board of prospects, make more trades, and add more free agents. All of that will affect what happens in the three-day event at the end of April.

So Titans fans who want to see Jeremiyah Love in Tennessee, they can hold onto hope that it will happen, but things don’t seem to be pointing that way right now.
