The Tennessee Titans wasted no time getting quarterback Cam Ward some help when the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft started. With the opening pick at No. 103 overall, the Titans selected former Florida Gators wide receiver Chimere Dike.

Titans fans expected general manager Mike Borgonzi to select a pass catcher during the second or third round. Instead, Borgonzi decided to invest in the defense, selecting pass rusher Femi Oladejo and safety Kevin Winston Jr.

The reaction was immediate concern for Ward and his rookie-year development. The Titans have little at wide receiver on the roster, with the aging pair of Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett as the top two wideouts on Brian Callahan's offense. Dike will possess an opportunity to fill an immediate need.

Titans draft Florida WR Chimere Dike

Dike is an athletic specimen who impressed scouts at the NFL Combine. The former Wisconsin transfer ran the third-fastest 40-yard dash among receivers at the NFL Combine at 4.34 seconds. Dike also leaped a 38.5-inch vertical and a 10-foot-8 broad jump.

Dike was a big-time weapon for the Florida Gators this past season. He produced a career-high 42 receptions for 783 yards throughout 2024. Dike also possesses outstanding size at 6-foot-1 and 196 pounds. He also ran the fifth-fastest three-cone (6.82) and ninth-quickest shuttle (4.27) at the NFL Combine.

Titans first-round bust Treylon Burks has immediately been put on notice. Dike could quickly come in and contend for his snaps. Other receivers vying for back-end playing time include sophomore undrafted free agent Bryce Oliver and second-year sixth-round pick Jha'Quan Jackson.

By selecting Dike, the Titans are finally choosing to invest in Ward's development. The hope is that Dike and Ward can grow together throughout their rookie campaigns to establish chemistry that will last for years to come. Tennessee's new wideout possesses the speed and athletic profile required to develop into a legitimate contributor.
