With NFL free agency set to kick off on March 11, the Tennessee Titans have consistently been linked to one soon-to-be free agent. That player is Indianapolis Colts receiver Alec Pierce, and he’s set to be one of the biggest free agents of the offseason. While his time in Indy could be coming to an end, he may not have to leave the AFC South to find a new home.

Pierce appeared on the Up & Adams show on Wednesday, and he sent a clear message to interested teams about what he’s looking for in free agency. For starters, the wideout assured teams that he will be exploring the market. While he could re-sign with the Colts before talking to other teams, he admitted that he wants to go out and see what everyone has to offer him.

As for what it is he’s looking for, Pierce’s appearance made his three priorities clear: money, quarterback stability, and targets. The good news for Tennessee is that it can offer all of those.

Titans can offer Alec Pierce everything he’s looking for in free agency

Pierce said that he loves Indianapolis and the Colts organization, but that he’s earned the right to go explore free agency and make the decision that’s best for his career and his family. In sports, that’s code for where is the biggest bag. Of course, there are often other factors, but money is typically one of the biggest parts of the equation.

The wideout went on to say that once a team commits a lot of money to him, he knows he’ll be expected to produce a lot — that’s exactly the kind of responsibility he wants. 84 targets in 2025 was the most Pierce ever received in a season, and he admitted that he’s ready to be featured like a no. 1 receiver, saying, “I’m no longer gonna be an 80-target player. If I get paid this big contract, they’re gonna have to throw me the ball more.”

Pierce’s other big requirement was quarterback stability. Catching passes from several quarterbacks during his four seasons in Indianapolis, the wideout says he knows what it’s like to play with an unstable quarterback situation and what effect it can have on the careers of receivers.

The Titans have to be smiling after hearing all of this, because that’s three boxes they can check. The franchise has over $90 million in cap space, the second-most in the NFL, a young quarterback in Cam Ward who has shown the potential to be a dominant player in the league for years to come, and a urgent need for a no. 1 receiver. That makes Tennessee an ideal landing spot for Alec Pierce, by his own standards.
