The Tennessee Titans are tasked with investing around franchise quarterback Cam Ward this offseason. Despite hiring a defensive minded head coach in Robert Saleh, Ward's development remains the team's top priority. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll should help with that.
One of the notable ways the Titans can upgrade the supporting cast around Ward is by improving the running back position. Veteran Tony Pollard concluded the 2025 season in strong fashion, but the working expectation is that the Titans might make him a cap casualty this offseason. Releasing Pollard would create more than $7 million in cap space.
If general manager Mike Borgonzi parts with Pollard, the Titans should enter free agency looking for a more dynamic back. One of the more potentially intriguing options was just named Super Bowl LX MVP. Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III could be the Titans' top target if he reaches the market.
Titans could target Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III in NFL Free Agency
Walker rushed for 135 yards via 27 carries in Sunday's Super Bowl triumph over the New England Patriots. The former Michigan State standout added 26 yards to his offensive totals through two receptions. Walker was unbelievable all throughout the playoffs, accumulating 417 total yards and four touchdowns throughout Seattle's three playoff wins.
The Titans are currently equipped with a league-leading $104.7 million in cap space, according to OverTheCap. Kenneth Walker's market value is around $9 million per season, per Spotrac, though that feels low after his postseason performance. Even if Walker commands $12-13 million annually, the Titans possess enough financial flexibility to meet a reasonable asking price.
The Seahawks possess roughly $73.2 million in cap space, sixth-most in the NFL, per projections. Seahawks GM John Schneider has extra incentive to retain Walker after his chance-of-pace back Zach Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL during the playoffs. That made Walker more important to Seattle, and they'll also have the option to apply the franchise tag if they struggle to work out a long-term deal.
The Seahawks possess enough financial wiggle room to re-sign Walker. Charbonnet's torn ACL gives them added incentive, as the early-season expectation was Walker might actually hit free agency. If negotiations prove unpredictable, the Titans should have an offer ready for the Super Bowl LX MVP.
