The Tennessee Titans need to surround franchise quarterback Cam Ward with more talent next season. The best way for general manager Mike Borgonzi to achieve that may be through free agency. The legal tampering window is scheduled to open shortly, and the Titans possess more than $90 million in cap space.
There isn't a true premium wide receiver slated to reach free agency. As scheduled, the two best wideouts on expiring contracts are Alec Pierce and Wan'Dale Robinson. The Titans have been linked to both Pierce and Robinson in recent months.
The initial belief was that Robinson would re-sign with the Giants. Now that he's closer to actually testing free agency, the Titans have an increased chance of signing him and reuniting him with new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. Robinson to the Titans is a rumor that is beginning to gain steam in league circles.
Titans have legitimate chance to sign WR Wan'Dale Robinson in NFL Free Agency
New York Sports reporter Connor Hughes recently reported that the Titans are "very high" on Robinson. Hughes also stated that the Giants are still attempting to re-sign the speedy playmaker. It could come down to a bidding war between the Titans and Giants for Robinson's services.
The Titans don't have enough talent at wide receiver. They were overly reliant on rookies Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor in 2025 when Calvin Ridley suffered a season-ending injury. Ridley may be a salary cap casualty this offseason, creating an even bigger need at wideout.
Titans coordinator Daboll was the Giants' head coach when Robinson was drafted in 2022. Up until Daboll's 2025 midseason firing, Robinson had never played for another head coach. The former Kentucky standout thrived in his offense and could possess interest in a reunion.
Robinson enjoyed a career-best campaign throughout 2025. He registered 92 receptions for his first 1,000-yard season and scored a career-high four touchdowns. He's a dynamic weapon in the short to intermediate areas who creates yards after catch opportunities himself as a quarterback-friendly target.
The Titans are willing to invest in Ward's development. Signing a talented wideout like Robinson would confirm that. With free agency looming, Borgonzi's chances to land Robinson never felt so real.
