The Tennessee Titans just got back from the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, which concluded on Sunday. General manager Mike Borgonzi and head coach Brian Callahan had a number of must-achieves in Indianapolis, including assessing the quarterback prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. After arriving back home, it appears the Titans are putting the proper steps in motion towards finalizing their plans with the No. 1 overall selection.
Fox Sports reporter Jordan Schultz is reporting that the Titans will host top-ranked quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders on pre-draft visits at their facility this week. Borgonzi and Callahan are undergoing a thorough pre-draft process. Once those visits are complete with the quarterbacks, Tennessee will be significantly closer to knowing what they plan to do at the top of the draft.

Ward and Sanders only participated in media sessions at the combine, declining opportunities to compete in throwing sessions, or athletic testing. Both players handled themselves well at the podium. Ward discussed Callahan's offense in Tennessee, comparing some of the concepts to Miami's. Sanders talked about resetting the culture at Jackson State and Colorado, turning losing programs into winners, discussing his plans to do the same at the next level.
Ward and Sanders aren't the only prospects in consideration at No. 1 overall coming to Nashville this week. Schultz is also reporting that Penn State EDGE rusher Abdul Carter is also scheduled to travel to Tennessee this week on a top-30 in-person visit.
If the Titans stay at No. 1 overall and are unimpressed with the quarterback prospects, Carter becomes the most logical choice. He plays a premium pass-rushing position. The Titans finished third-lowest in sacks last season, and plan to trade 2024 sack-leader Harold Landry this offseason.
Carter didn't participate athletically at the NFL Combine because he's nursing shoulder and foot injuries. The Titans will receive more clarity regarding his injury status after hosting him on a pre-draft visit in Nashville. Those visits often include medical assessments by the team's staff.
Furthermore, Paul Kuharsky is reporting that the Titans will also host Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter on a pre-draft visit prior to the start of free agency. The timeline reported by Schulz indicates Hunter will visit Nashville this week or next. That confirms the Titans have pre-draft visits set with all four of the prospects in consideration at No. 1 overall.
Ward, Sanders, Carter, and Hunter are all coming to Nashville shortly on pre-draft visits. Once those in depth visits are complete, the Titans will have made serious progress towards making their decision with the No. 1 overall selection.
