Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward made progress in Sunday's Week 2 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams. Ward threw the first touchdown pass of his career. The first-year playmaker avoided pressure before rolling to his right and throwing an incredible off-script ball to Elic Ayomanor for a highlight-reel-worthy play.

Ward will now attempt to carry that momentum over to Sunday's upcoming Week 3 divisional showdown with the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans are 0-2 and the Colts are a perfect 2-0. It'll take an impressive showing from Ward if the Titans hope to execute an upset.

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is also playing incredible ball. Shane Steichen's offense hasn't punted yet this season, with Jones accounting for five total touchdowns as a passer and runner. With this better-than-advertised quarterback matchup, NFL Spin Zone's Ryan Heckman has a bold prediction for Sunday's game.

NFL Spin Zone: Cam Ward and Daniel Jones to combine for the most total touchdowns of any QB matchup in Week 3

Jones scored three touchdowns in Indianapolis' Week 2 thrilling last-second win over the Denver Broncos. After selling both Jones and Ward a little short, Heckman foresees them combining for fireworks at Nissan Stadium this weekend.

"We didn't necessarily anticipate Broncos-Colts being as fun as it was, and in the same tone, here comes Titans-Colts for what might be the game of the week in terms of overall quarterback production," Heckman wrote. "Ward's chemistry with fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor looks like it's for real, and Titans fans should be optimistic about their future."

The Titans have lost eight consecutive regular-season contests dating back to 2024, five straight at Nissan Stadium. They could desperately use a win to inject the fanbase with some energy, especially over their AFC South rival Colts. If Ward can muster a couple of touchdowns, the Titans' chances of winning increases.
