How would we feel about this pick?

What the Tennessee Titans have done this offseason has spoken volumes about their level of faith in second-year quarterback Will Levis.

If they didn't believe Levis could take a huge step forward in Year 2, there is no way Tennessee would have made all of the moves they have over the last month and a half.

Make no mistake about it: Tennessee wants to compete and they want to do it as soon as possible. You don't go out and add guys like Calvin Ridley, L'Jarius Sneed, Tony Pollard and Chidobe Awuzie all in the same offseason if you didn't think the team could make some noise and make it quickly.

That shows all the belief in Levis. And, what might show even more belief in the young quarterback is if the Titans were to help him out even more in the 2024 NFL Draft. One particular expert, Matt Miller, thinks he knows exactly who Tennessee is targeting with the seventh overall pick.

Tennessee selecting Joe Alt would further cement their faith in Will Levis

The Titans definitely need help at offensive tackle, and there is no better tackle in this year's draft than Joe Alt out of Notre Dame. He feels like a slam-dunk selection at no. 7 for Tennessee. But, the question is, will he actually be there?

Many other mocks have Alt projected to be taken at no. 5 by the Los Angeles Chargers, to go in and help protect Justin Herbert. With new head coach Jim Harbaugh taking over, and as a former quarterback with an old school mentality, it makes a lot of sense. Los Angeles very well might steal Alt from under Tennessee's nose.

But, if Alt ends up a Titan, then you can rest assured this team is truly all-in on Levis. And to be frank, that's a bold move. It's saying a lot. Levis had some excellent moments as a rookie, but he was also far from perfect.

The Titans would also continue to try and match the energy from around the division, with the Houston Texans making some huge moves in order to compete and the Indianapolis Colts retaining a lot of their top-end players in effort to give Anthony Richardson what he needs.

Should Alt end up being the pick at no. 7, the Titans are set at that spot for the next 10 years.
