The Tennessee Titans are coming off a last-place finish in 2023, and a 6-11 campaign that saw them finish three games out of second- and third-place in the much-improved AFC South. Luckily, every new season brings hope.

If the past two seasons indicate things to come, new head coach Brian Callahan will lead this team to a division title. The Jacksonville Jaguars finished in last place in the AFC South for four straight years from 2018-21 and won a division title in 2022. The Houston Texans resided in the basement with a 3-13-1 mark in ’22 and captured the top spot in the AFC South this past season. Both Jacksonville and Houston won playoff games in those respective years.

General Manager Ran Carthon and the front office have been very busy this offseason, as has been the case throughout the division. The Texans have once again been highly aggressive, the Indianapolis Colts have done a great job of retaining their own talent, and the Jaguars have added some intriguing veterans to bolster their roster.

As for the Titans, the franchise has addressed numerous areas via free agency and one important trade. The club does face an uphill battle in the division. Not only because the team was the only one of the four to post a losing campaign, but the club was a dismal 1-5 vs. their AFC South rivals this past season.

Tennessee has eight selections in this month’s draft. Meanwhile, here is a look at the best moves Carthon has made this offseason in terms of veteran acquisitions.
