The Tennessee Titans are playing the Jacksonville Jaguars in Sunday's Week 18 regular-season finale. The approaching offseason looms particularly large. General manager Mike Borgonzi is tasked with hiring a new head coach, and he'll also enter the offseason with a top-five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and more than $100 million in cap space to spend in free agency.
Before then, Borgonzi has one final opportunity to assess his roster during Sunday's game against a divisional rival. The Titans have been competitive in recent weeks, going 2-2 across their latest four contests. Cam Ward and teammates haven't given up despite the difficult circumstances of the season.
The competitive spirit has been impressive, but the Titans will be sitting several injured players in Sunday's final game. Late-season starters Jalyn Armour-Davis and wide receiver Van Jefferson suffered season-ending injuries in Week 17. Tight end Gunnar Helm was also ruled out after being spotted in a walking boot.
Titans injuries threaten to derail Week 18 opportunity
Notable Titans players on IR include L'Jarius Sneed, Calvin Ridley, Mike Brown, and Xavier Woods. Rookies Femi Oladejo, Marcus Harris and Kevin Winston Jr. also remain on the season-ending list. The Titans will be dealing with shorthanded units on both offense and defense, especially at safety.
Expect to see lots of Kendell Brooks, Kaiir Elam, and Kemon Hall in the secondary. The offense could choose to feature players like Kalel Mullings, David Martin-Robinson, Mason Kinsey, and James Proche II. Not exactly household names.
Meanwhile the 12-4 Jaguars have rounded off seven consecutive victories and are competing for the AFC South division title on Sunday. They will not take the Titans, who they embarrassed 25-3 in Week 13, lightly. A Titans upset victory coupled with a Houston win would award the Texans the division title on the final weekend.
The Titans' lengthy list of injuries may prevent them from being competitive versus the Jaguars.
