The Tennessee Titans are rebuilding. New general manager Mike Borgonzi and head coach Brian Callahan believe they have foundational players on their roster. Rookie No. 1 overall quarterback Cam Ward is at the top of that list.

The offense and defense feature a handful of building blocks. Recent draftees such as JC Latham, T'Vondre Sweat, and Jarvis Brownlee Jr. are entering sophomore seasons after establishing themselves as keynote starters during their 2024 rookie season. The goal is to continue acquiring blue-chip talents around Ward.

The Bleacher Report recently outlined every team's most promising building block. In somewhat surprising fashion, none of the above mentioned players were the choice for the Titans. Third-year guard Peter Skoronski is Tennessee's most promising talent, according to B/R.

Bleacher Report: Peter Skoronski is Titans' most promising building block entering 2025

"In two seasons, Peter Skoronski hasn't played up to first-round expectations," Moe Moton wrote. "He's an average run-blocker who's yet to move the needle for an offensive line that's undergone significant changes over the past few years. However, Skoronski made strides in pass-blocking last season. According to Pro Football Focus, he only allowed four sacks while on the field for 661 pass-blocking snaps."

Moton is correct that Skoronski concluded the 2024 campaign in rather strong fashion. The former Northwestern standout was credited with allowing just eight quarterback pressures and two sacks in Tennessee's final nine games (from Week 11 onward). Skoronski allowed one or zero QB pressures in seven of those contests.

The Titans have improved their offensive line around Skoronski this offseason. In 2025, the first-round guard will be tasked with playing next to a new tackle for a third consecutive campaign. Dan Moore Jr. easily projects as the best left-sided partner Skoronski has had.

The rest of the offensive line should also improve, which would relieve some pressure from Skoronski. Veteran Kevin Zeitler, who is aging gracefully, was signed to upgrade right guard. Latham is moving to right tackle, the position he comfortably played at Alabama, with Moore Jr. sliding in on the left.

Skoronski flashed legitimate growth down the stretch of his sophomore campaign. The third-year blocker will hopefully be a building block around Ward. According to Bleacher Report, Skoronski is the Titans' most promising building block.
