PFF offers high praise (and hope) for Titans' recent draft pick

Tennessee Titans guard Peter Skoronski showcased legitimate growth as a sophomore in 2024. After dealing with an appendectomy that briefly derailed his rookie 2023 season, Skoronski returned stronger and healthier last season. The on-field results were evident.

Skoronski played nearly 1,100 snaps at left guard for the Titans next to rookie left tackle JC Latham. Pro Football Focus tagged Skoronski with allowing just four sacks and 28 QB pressures despite Tennessee's offensive line (and quarterback play) generally being disastrous.

And now, that same outlet is foreseeing another jump in form with PFF recently predicting Skoronski will be the NFL's most improved guard in 2025.

Peter Skoronski could be NFL's "most improved guard in 2025"

"Despite the below-average grade, Skoronski took real steps forward as a pass-blocker in the second half of the season, demonstrating the excellent footwork and hand-usage that saw him drafted in the top-15 more consistently," Thomas Valentine wrote. "His season-long 76.3 pass-blocking grade was seventh at the position, but Skoronski dominated in the final seven games of the season, allowing just one sack and five pressures while earning a league-high 88.2 pass-blocking grade."

PFF also highlights what should be an improved Titans offensive line in 2025 in front of rookie quarterback Cam Ward. First-year general manager Mike Borgonzi signed Dan Moore Jr. to play left tackle. Veteran guard Kevin Zeitler also joined via free agency to play the right-sided position. They should have a positive impact on Skoronski's development.

"The Titans' commitment to improving the offensive line could help Skoronski’s improvement in his third year, too," Valentine continued. "After all, the offensive line is an ecosystem where chemistry and cohesion matter significantly. The front office added Kevin Zeitler and Dan Moore to the offensive line, and both will be starters in 2025, providing veteran experience. Zeitler’s 86.5 grade in 2024 was third among guards. Skoronski looks in prime position to fully break out in 2025, capturing his pass-blocking form from the back end of last season, and hopefully benefiting from an improved unit."

The stars are aligning for Skoronski to improve in 2025. The improved ecosystem, paired with another year in Bill Callahan's system, should work wonders.
