The Tennessee Titans are in the middle of a thorough head coaching process that is being dominated by the John Harbaugh sweepstakes. Once the Titans finally hire one of the 19 candidates they've interviewed, the offseason will officially begin. General manager Mike Borgonzi will be able to shift attention to the player acquisition portion of the offseason.
Borgonzi has consistently discussed turning the Titans into a draft and develop team. They are equipped with the No. 4 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Titans are slated to possess four picks in the opening 101 selections, per Tankathon.
Borgonzi must address these specific holes with his draft capital and correctly identify them as the biggest areas of need on the roster.
Titans 5 biggest team needs to fix in NFL Draft
5. Running Back
Tony Pollard is a potential cap casualty and Tyjae Spears has struggled to stay healthy when given a bigger workload. Pollard was effective down the stretch, but the Titans could benefit from getting faster and more dynamic in the backfield this offseason. Rookie Kalel Mullings failed to show anything more than a special teams skill set.
Top 50 targets: Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame), Jadarian Price (Notre Dame)
4. Interior Offensive Line
Right guard Kevin Zeitler is on an expiring contract. Center Lloyd Cushenberry failed to meet expectations and there's at least a discussion to be had around releasing him. Rookie Jackson Slater played well in Week 18, but the sample size is small. Borgonzi must solidify the interior, even if that simply means re-signing Zeitler.
Top 50 targets: Francis Mauigoa (Miami), Emmanuel Pregnon (Oregon), Vega Ioane (Penn State)
3. Cornerback
Cornerback could appear multiple times on this list. Borgonzi must acquire two starting-caliber boundary cornerbacks this offseason. Marcus Harris may be the solution at nickel, but Jalyn Armour-Davis and Darrell Baker Jr. warrant replacing outside.
Top 50 targets: Mansoor Delane (LSU), D'Angelo Ponds (Indiana), Colton Hood (Tennessee), Chris Johnson (San Diego State), Keionte Scott (Miami)
2. Wide Receiver
Investing in Cam Ward's development is Borgonzi's top offseason priority. As impressive as rookies Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike were in spurts, the Titans need to round out the receiver room with both veteran experience and rookie upside. A top-35 pick must be used on a receiver.
Top 50 targets: Makai Lemon (USC), Denzel Boston (Washington), KC Concepcion (Texas A&M), Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State), Carnell Tate (Ohio State)
1. Edge Rusher
The early expectation is that the Titans will use the fourth overall selection on an EDGE rusher. Arvell Reese, Rueben Bain Jr. and David Bailey will compete throughout the pre-draft process to be a top-five pick. The Titans don't have any starting-caliber EDGEs under contract for next season.
Top 50 targets: David Bailey (Texas Tech), Keldric Faulk (Auburn), Rueben Bain Jr. (Miami), Arvell Reese (Ohio State), Cashius Howell (Texas A&M)
