After going through a tough era that was led by Brian Callahan for a short amount of time, the Tennessee Titans’ offense will look a lot different (and hopefully for the better). Even though the team will be ran by a defensive-minded coach in Robert Saleh, Brian Daboll was hired to run the offense and there is excitement about his play-calling ability.
With a second-year quarterback in Cam Ward, improvement to the wide receiver room, and adding another running back to the mix with Nicholas Singleton, the offense will be looking to reach new levels that it never could under Callahan.
While the offense looks solid on paper, one player that will be returning from an injury-shortened season is wide receiver Calvin Ridley. At one point in his career with the Atlanta Falcons, Ridley looked like a rising star in the league.
Ridley then played one year with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and then he signed a four-year, $92 million deal with the Titans. He reached over 1,000 yards in 2024 to go with four touchdowns, but then only played in seven games last season and finished with just 303 yards and no touchdowns.

The Titans and Ridley managed to restructure his contract to keep him in Nashville for another season. While Ridley is fighting for reps in a new-look receiver room, recent position power rankings from Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick of Pro Football Focus (PFF) show what Titans fans already knew about Ridley, unfortunately.
Wasserman and Chadwick put together a wide receiver power rankings ahead of the 2026 season and Ridley came in at No. 32 at the bottom of the list. The only player that he as above was Tyreek Hill, who was listed as an honorable mention.
"Ridley's 2025 season was cut short by injury, but he is expected to return as Tennessee's top target in 2026. He recorded 1,000-yard seasons in both 2023 and 2024. Before the injury, Ridley was averaging a career-high 17.8 yards per reception, which ranked fourth among wide receivers with at least 30 targets last season. Flanked by free-agent addition Wan'Dale Robinson and first-round pick Carnell Tate, Ridley should see more favorable matchups on the outside in 2026." said Wasserman and Chadwick.
With the additions of Carnell Tate and Wan’Dale Robinson, Ridley is expected to be the Titans' WR3 at best. If Tate and/or Robinson start to become Ward’s go-to weapon, Ridley is going to miss out on a ton of production. However, with added firepower to the room, this could also help the veteran win one-on-one matchups and have success in Daboll’s offense.
Since arriving in Tennesee, Ridley hasn’t been as impactful as fans had hoped for. It seems like he will get one more chance to prove himself, but it won’t be easy by any means.
