The Miami Dolphins began cleaning house by releasing a handful of players last week, including wide receiver Tyreek Hill and EDGE Bradley Chubb. With a new regime under Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley, the Dolphins are going in a different direction and one might think they will ultimately put up a "for sale" sign on different parts of their roster. If that’s the case, the Tennessee Titans would be wise to call Miami.

However, there are other teams that may call as well, especially when it comes to players like Jaylen Waddle and De’Von Achane. Both players are solid, but Achane has established himself as a dynamic back for the Dolphins. He could very well bring in great value for the Dolphins if he was to be traded.

While the Titans probably wouldn't make an aggressive move for Achane, there’s no doubt that he would be dynamic. If Tennessee wasn't willing to meet Miami's asking price, then it wasn’t meant to be. However, one factor that could really hurt the Titans is if he was available and he landed elsewhere in the AFC South.

Titans' rival listed as landing spot for De'Von Achane

With the Dolphins essentially starting their process of cleaning house within the roster, Sayre Bedinger from NFL Spin Zone listed three potential destinations for Achane via trade. One of those destinations was the Texans, whom the Titans play twice a year and are already a challenge to go up against.

"The Houston Texans are in a rough situation at the running back position right now with Joe Mixon's future very much up in the air, Dameon Pierce getting cut last season, and nobody proving to be a truly viable long-term solution outside of depth this past season." said Bedinger.

"And with Achane, we're obviously talking about a game-changing weapon out of the backfield. The Texans would love to add a player like this to their offensive weaponry and seeing how dull their offense was this past year, he'd be a necessary spark." said Bedinger.

For the past three seasons, Achane has been electric for the Dolphins and he just had over 1,300 rushing yards. He is also averaging seven touchdowns per season. Achane has a ton of value, and it would be scary for the Titans if he landed with the Texans.

Houston already has a dynamite defense and if they can just add a spark on offense, they could realistically be the best team in the NFL. Maybe the Dolphins won't end up considering offers for Achane, but if they do, the Titans better hope that he doesn't land in the division.
