In recent years, Tennessee Titans fans have been hurt over and over again because they dared to believe that this might be the year where the franchise would finally have an offensive line that didn't look like they had a death wish for the team's starting quarterback.
Many in the local media have been hesitant to say anything definitive about the team's offensive line. In past offseasons, it's looked better on paper, only to get worse.
However, the drumbeat of change is getting louder and louder. Over the last week, three notable pieces of information have emerged, and none of them have come from sources that have anything to gain from a Titans rise.
Everyone thinks the Titans have improved their offensive line

The first bit of information is a graph from Football Insights. They took offensive line rankings from PFF, FTN, Fantasy Points, and Sharp Football Analysis and created a composite score for each group to ensure an unbiased ranking of the offensive lines.
In that ranking, the Titans' offensive line was 21st in the NFL (ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans), which is a massive jump from the pits of despair they were in last year.
As ESPN's position articles keep rolling on, the second piece of important information came out when the Titans had two players mentioned among the top interior linemen (centers and guards) in the NFL. Peter Skoronski just missed the top 10, while Kevin Zeitler was in the "also got votes" section.
At worst, that means that the Titans have two of the top-26 interior offensive linemen out of the 100+ starters in the NFL. Considering how few guards from the same team were mentioned, it also means the Titans are viewed as having a top-five guard tandem in the NFL.
Finally, on Monday, Duke Manyweather went on 104.5 to talk about his OL Masterminds Summit. Three Titans were in attendance (Skoronski, Dan Moore, and J.C. Latham) and he commented on how much better he thought the offensive line would be heading into 2025.
"I think on paper they are instantly better. I thought that going into this offseason they needed to address offensive line...The right side play was horrific. Right tackle play was awful, it didn't matter who they had there...But you gotta look on the bright side, Peter Skoronski was playing at a very, very high level. J.C. Latham had his ups and downs like any rookie, but he is very self-aware which is great. And then the addition of Dan Moore first and then Kevin Zeitler, I think you look at Tennessee's offensive line and it is instantly better."
Mayweather later went on to detail how he believes that Skoronski is learning what makes him special, and he cited the game against the Detroit Lions as a turning point where he really started to look like a future Pro Bowl-type guard. He also talked about Latham's hunger to get better and to be judged and critiqued harshly, and in the same way that Manyweather would critique an All-Pro, because those are the standards that Latham has for himself.
The Titans have fallen short of expectations in recent years, even when they looked better on paper, so it is impossible to say with 100% certainty that there will be a massive improvement in the offensive line this year. However, as people continue to heap praise on the job that the Titans have done in the macro, while also praising the specific individuals that the team has signed in the micro, the chances of this being fool's gold seem lower and lower. And for now, that is enough to give fans hope, and it will be up to the offensive line to prove them right once training camp starts.
