The NFL season is mercifully over, which means it is officially the offseason. Over the last few years, Tennessee Titans fans have had plenty to talk about during this time of year, and that trend will continue as the franchise has the top selection in the 2025 NFL Draft and plenty of cap space to make changes.

With the Philadelphia Eagles beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, there will be questions for both teams heading into the offseason. Each has various big-name free agents set to hit the market, and they will do their best to keep their core roster intact.

That might be difficult considering that the Eagles and Chiefs are bottom-12 in the NFL in available cap space, but if Eagles EDGE Josh Sweat and Chiefs guard Trey Smith stay with their current teams, there will be ripple effects.

If those premium players are re-signed, it will almost certainly mean that a slew of other free agents from each team will hit the open market.

Considering that Chad Brinker and Mike Borgonzi have hinted they won't be as interested in adding big names this year, mid-tier free agents hitting the market will be good for the Titans.

Speaking of Borgonzi, his connections to the Chiefs and Dennard Wilson's connections to the Eagles add another layer of intrigue to this conversation because they might be more willing to stand on the table for guys they have first-hand experience with.

Here are four mid-tier Super Bowl participants slated to reach free agency that the Titans could target, ranked by their projected contract via Spotrac.

1. Justin Reid, S (Projected deal: 3/$51.2 million)

Interceptions aren't everything, but $17 million per season certainly feels like a lot for a safety that only has three interceptions in the last three seasons. That feels like an overpay for Reid, and the Titans probably wouldn't be willing to meet that asking price.

If Reid's asking price is more reasonable, he would be a great fit next to Amani Hooker in the Titans' secondary.

2. Nick Bolton, LB (Projected deal: 4/$49 million)

The Titans have repeatedly said this offseason is about creating dominant "fronts" on both sides of the ball, offensively and defensively in the trenches.

Nick Bolton is a player who makes everyone around him better by adding physicality to the defense without sacrificing execution. Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo recently said, "He is one of the top, most cerebral players I’ve ever coached," calling Bolton the Patrick Mahomes of the defense.

The Chiefs will want to keep him, but if they pay Smith like an elite guard, they probably won't be able to afford Bolton. Considering that Bolton has talked about how playing behind Chris Jones made a world of difference for him, you can see why he might be interested in taking a nice deal to join the Titans and play behind Jeffery Simmons and T'Vondre Sweat.

3. Milton Williams, DL (Projected deal: 3/$36 million)

If the Titans commit to getting better in the trenches, that means they're going to have to possess outstanding depth. Milton Williams can come in and be a player who rotates with Simmons and Sweat to make sure that the defense can sustain the pressure in the middle of the line of scrimmage.

This price is a little steep, but the Titans have the money to spend and free agency isn't robust this year. Williams would essentially be replacing Sebastian Joseph-Day, who is also slated for free agency.

4. Tershawn Wharton, DL (Projected deal: 3/$22.3 million)

The pitch for Tershawn Wharton is the same pitch for Williams. Both players are young and have developed nicely. If Wharton hits the market, he'd be a great tone-setting asset for a team that wants to invest in the trenches.
