A lot happened for the Tennessee Titans at last week's NFL Scouting Combine. As holders of the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 draft, the Titans were the buzz of Indianapolis. Mike Borgonzi and Brian Callahan met with various prospects at Lucas Oil Stadium, including a plethora of quarterbacks and pass rushers.

In non-draft news that materialized from the combine, the Titans have granted veteran pass rusher Harold Landry permission to seek a trade. The Titans appear uninterested in paying his $17.5 million base salary for this coming campaign, or absorbing the $24 million cap charge attached to it. Landry's representation is free to discuss the parameters of a trade with potential suitors.

The Titans need to acquire pass rushers this offseason. Landry's planned departure potentially makes their plans at No. 1 overall way too obvious. They also need a veteran EDGE in free agency, with Josh Sweat and Malcolm Koonce qualifying as potential fits.

Dennard Wilson's defense also needs growth from in-house talents if they're to part ways with Landry, last season's sack leader. Various Titans defenders must take advantage of a potential opportunity by improving this summer. We've identified three in particular.

Arden Key, EDGE

The general consensus heading into the offseason was that one of Landry or Arden Key would be a salary cap casualty. With Landry seemingly halfway out the exit door, Key appears safe in Tennessee. The former LSU standout is slated to enter a contract year after producing 6.5 sacks and 39 pressures throughout 2024. The Titans will add higher-upside pass rushers this offseason, but he appears set to return in a fairly prominent role in a contract year.

T'Vondre Sweat, DT

Rookie defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat met expectations as a first-year instant contributor. Questions over his conditioning were swiftly laid to rest as the second-round defender handled a healthy 699 snaps next to Jeffery Simmons on the interior. The big-bodied Sweat still needs to improve as a pass rusher after accumulating a modest 23 pressures and one sack as a rookie.

Jaylen Harrell, EDGE

How big of an opportunity Jaylen Harrell receives as a sophomore largely depends on other moves made at the position this offseason. Harrell, a seventh-round pick, will probably enter training camp on the roster bubble. After generating some buzz during training camp and the preseason, the former Michigan standout only totaled five pressures on 129 pass-rushing snaps.
