Winner: Harold Landry and Cameron Wake

For the first time since Week 1 the Tennessee Titans duo of Harold Landry and Cameron Wake looked menacing.

Though they don’t show up in the box score, Wake had two huge quarterback hits where he came blazing around the right tackle and forced Matt Ryan to get rid of the ball.

That speed rush and the fear it put into the Atlanta Falcons offense led to more protection for Ryan. In turn, that led to Harold Landry dominating his one-on-ones finishing with two sacks and nearly picking off a screen pass.

All of this production came on only a handful of snaps where Landry was rushing because there were so many times that Dean Pees had Landry drop into coverage which is a staple of the zone blitz defense.

While I don’t agree with Landry rushing less, the confusion it created was great for the defense as a whole and the Titans were able to get to the QB all day regardless.
