Which Tennessee Titans player is getting the attention he deserves?

The Tennessee Titans are an under the radar team in general, but which player is even less talked about than he should be?

According to Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton, Titans 3rd year wide receiver Taywan Taylor should have more buzz:

"“Titans wide receivers coach Rob Moore thinks Taylor deserves more looks in the passing attack, per Jim Wyatt of the Titans’ official site.‘I think Tay has done a solid job for us,’ Moore said. ‘Honestly, I just think we need to give him more opportunities. Give him more opportunities to showcase what he can do and I think he’ll take advantage of his opportunities.’……Despite the buzz around the newcomers at wide receiver, the Titans coaching staff may put Taylor in position to show his best within a talented group. Moore talked about more opportunities for him, so we’ll see if that translates into head-turning plays on the field.”"

In an offense where receptions are hard to come by, it is interesting to see the Titans WR coach talk about Taywan Taylor needing more opportunities.

When I broke down the changes that Arthur Smith would make as the OC, I said that we could expect to see more guys in motion before the snap.

"Guys like A.J. Brown and Taywan Taylor would be strange players to line up in the backfield and they obviously would be used as receivers or runners and not blocking. Still, even if you know that how do you match up with that? What ripple effects does an adjustment like that have on a defense?"

Maybe that is a way that the Titans can get the ball to Taylor outside of traditional receptions.

The combination of his quick twitch and shiftiness and Derrick Henry‘s home run threat ability on the outside would put tremendous stress on the opposing defense.

If that holds the defense even momentarily then it would be huge in giving Marcus Mariota that extra second to throw the ball.

Small things make the biggest difference in the NFL and finding a way to use Taywan Taylor would elevate him from a sleeper to a star, now all new OC Arthur Smith has to do is figure out how to do what he predecessors couldn’t.

That task being, making the offense electrifying and bringing it into the 21st century.
