Tennessee Titans catch huge breaks vs Houston Texans
By Will Lomas
The hits keep coming for the Tennessee Titans next opponent.
The Tennessee Titans have been “lucky” at some points this season, and this week is one of those times.
It was announced today that it is unlikely that Houston Texans speed demon Will Fuller will play this weekend vs the Titans.

Fuller had a huge game against Tennessee last time they played and a large part of that was the terrible gameplan the Titans had. Since then Tennessee’s defense looks like a whole different unit.
However, this just adds another name to the pile for the Texans. Here is a list of starters or heavy rotational players that will miss this week for the Texans:
-OT Derek Newton
-DL J.J. Watt
-QB Deshaun Watson
-WR/RB Tyler Ervin
-EDGE Whitney Mercilus
-DL Christian Covington
-TE Ryan Griffin
-RB D’onta Foreman
-OT Chris Clark
-WR Will Fuller
And the Texans could still miss out on Brian Cushing who is coming back from another PED suspension this week.

It is tough sledding for the Texans making a road trip in division with that sort of damage. However, the Titans can’t get careless.
Sitting atop the division, Tennessee can’t look past the team that embarrassed them in one of the worst losses that the franchise has ever seen just a few months ago. This may not be a revenge game (and that is fine) but it also isn’t just another game.
One of Mike Mularkey’s big points of emphasis this offseason was winning divisional games. If you can’t get your team ready for a game like this when you are running out of time to make yourself the clear leader in the division, then you have some serious questions to answer as a head coach.
Will the Titans get it done on Sunday at home? Or will they lay and egg and deflate the fan base like they have so many times in the last decade?
