Is anyone surprised?

The Tennessee Titans are entering the Cam Ward era in Nashville but that doesn't mean that Will Levis' days with the organization are through just yet. Is Levis done as a starter (assuming injuries don't occur)? Yes. But for now, he's still on the roster so fans will still be hearing plenty about him, especially during OTAs.

Levis' performance to end Wednesday's OTA session was less than ideal, as the former second-round pick threw an interception to Mark Perry, a fourth-string safety. Not exactly what Levis should be doing to up his trade stock, if there was any stock left after his difficult 2024 season.

Will Levis ended Wednesday OTAs with a brutal interception

The Titans spent a second-round pick on Levis in the 2023 draft and he was in the mix to become their next franchise quarterback after Ryan Tannehill's time with the team came to an end. Once Malik Willis was traded to Green Bay, Levis was officially the Titans' starter but he didn't live up to the hype of being a second-round pick.

Levis threw for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 picks in 12 starts and only won two games. Levis became a well-known meme in the league for the reactions he had after making mistakes in key moments and it wasn't a surprise when the season came to a close and his team had the first pick in the draft that his time as the starter was over.

While Ward is going to win the starting job (unless something truly unforeseen happens), OTAs presented a chance for Levis to show that he was still worth another team potentially taking a chance on. He still has time to do that both in OTAs, training camp, and preseason, but throwing a pick to a fourth-string safety isn't exactly putting him on the best path toward making that happen.

It's a bummer that the Levis experiment didn't work out in Tennessee but hopefully the Ward one does and fans can officially put Levis in the rearview mirror.
