The Tennessee Titans arrived at the 2025 NFL Combine in search of wide receiver help. Calvin Ridley is the lone proven asset scheduled to return to the offense next season. Both Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Tyler Boyd are slated for free agency. Boyd is almost certain to play elsewhere next year, and Westbrook-Ikhine could have a competitive market in free agency.
General manager Mike Borgonzi arrived at the combine needing to assess receiver prospects as a result. Regardless of who next year's quarterback is, the Titans need to acquire instant contributors at receiver this offseason. The team can't count on Treylon Burks or Jha'Quan Jackson to play notable snaps.
With the 2025 NFL Combine providing the Titans with an opportunity to identify wide receiver talent, we've identified some prospects who impressed the team in Indianapolis.
Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State
Jaylin Noel would be an outstanding replacement for Boyd as Brian Callahan's slot receiver. The Iowa State standout was phenomenal at the NFL Combine, leaping position-bests in the vertical (41.5 inches) and broad jump (11-foot-2) drills. Noel also ran an excellent 4.39-second 40 yard dash and 4.17 short shuttle. The short-area quickness needed to create quick separation is present.
Dont'e Thornton Jr., WR, Tennessee
Dont'e Thornton Jr. played football locally at the Tennessee Volunteers and surely impressed Borgonzi and Co. at Lucas Oil Stadium. Thornton Jr.'s 4.30 result in the 40-yard dash was second-best, trailing just Matthew Golden and his 4.29 time. On the football field, he recorded a career-high 661 receiving yards and six touchdowns this season while averaging an explosive 25.4 yards per catch.
Jaylin Lane, WR, Virginia Tech
Jaylin Lane is an all-around athlete with special teams experience. The Virginia Tech performer ran a third-best 4.34-second 40 yard dash and also placed second in the 10-yard split (1.50). Lane also finished third in the vertical (40 inch) and broad jump (11-foot) drills. With over 100 career returns on kickoff and punt duty, the 5-foot-10, 191 pound playmaker is an all-around weapon.
Chimere Dike, WR, Florida
Florida's Chimere Dike was among the more surprising performers. Dike's 4.34-second 40-yard dash finished third among participating receivers, and his 1.51 10-yard split was a top-five result. A stellar 6.82 three-cone placed a bow on a fantastic afternoon. After transferring from Wisconsin to Florida this past season, he posted a personal-best 783 receiving yards on 42 receptions, averaging 18.6 yards per catch.
