The Tennessee Titans and their fan base are already riding the high of the type of offseason you typically only dream of. And we haven't even hit the 2026 NFL Draft yet.
The Titans have a franchise quarterback to build around, a completely revamped defense with head coach Robert Saleh calling the shots, and one of the top offensive coordinator candidates in Brian Daboll helping develop and set up Ward for success. On top of it all, the Titans revamped their uniforms and now have one of the best looks in the league.
Now, the question is -- who will be the next player to rock the new uniforms? The Titans have options with the 4th overall pick in this year's draft, and maybe more that could make sense than anyone realizes. So, which players will Borgonzi be higher on than everyone else? We're going to take a look at three prospects most typically being talked about regarding the Titans, and how much smoke there is with each player.
Tennessee Titans NFL Draft smoke meter is off the charts for Jeremiyah Love
RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame
Smoke meter: Out of control blazing fire
Jeremiyah Love, simply put, is one of the best players in the entire draft. In fact, if this year's draft is more underwhelming as a whole, Love might end up being the biggest prize from the class, and by a long shot.
There might be some prospect fatigue for Titans fans with Love, who have been reading one mock draft after another slotting the Notre Dame star in with the 4th overall pick. But there are good reasons for that. The idea of pairing up Cam Ward with a playmaker like Love is enticing for obvious reasons, and this is a draft where we've all been warned to throw any traditional positional value out the window.
Love has to be the overwhelming favorite for the Titans at this point if he's on the board, although nothing is certain. He's the 5th overall player on FanSided's Top 50 big board, so what if the Titans also have other guys ahead of him?
LB/EDGE Arvell Reese, Ohio State
Smoke meter: Inviting campfire
There hasn't been nearly as much buzz with the Titans and Arvell Reese lately, primarily because of the fact that it seems like the Jets will take him 2nd overall. But what happens if the Jets take Texas Tech pass rusher David Bailey? The Titans would likely have a serious dilemma on their hands.
The idea of Arvell Reese being picked by the Titans can be compared to an inviting campfire. There isn't anything about this "smoke" that is out of control, but it's a controlled fire and someone's always keeping it going strong.
In other words, the Titans getting Reese would just be a really good, smart pick that no one should really have any issues with whatsoever. It's an idea that's been there for the entire offseason, but it's still felt a little unattainable even at 4th overall because of how out of control the smoke is with Reese and the Jets.
LB Sonny Styles, Ohio State
Smoke meter: Fireplace at Mom & Dad's
The idea of Sonny Styles and the Titans is a solid one, and you might even have some nostalgia for it at this point. The dream of pairing Sonny Styles with Robert Saleh had some fans thinking there might be a second-coming of Fred Warner in Nashville.
But the more time has gone on, you can't help but wonder if there was just some romanticizing there. Just like the fireplace at Mom & Dad's, or Grandma & Grandpa's, it's not quite what you remembered it being once upon a time.
The luster has worn off here. There' still fire, but the smoke with Styles and the Titans is slowly fading. That doesn't mean he would be a bad pick, by any stretch. Styles wore the green dot at Ohio State, and his athleticism is off the charts. Still, in a draft where it seems you can throw positional value out the window, it feels like the Titans would rather go with the offensive weapon like Jeremiyah Love versus a linebacker if they are forsaking positional value.
