There couldn’t have been a more perfect offseason fit for theTennessee Titans than Robert Saleh. When the Titans had fired Brian Callahan in the middle of this past season, fans were wondering what direction the Titans would go. Now they have a great energetic defensive coach who gets the best out of his players.

Saleh’s time with the Jets may not have been great, but we learned after his firing that what went wrong was not his fault afterall. Now he gets his second head coaching shot in Nashville and he’s already off to a promising start.

While the hiring of Saleh is a home run hire for Mike Borgonzi, Saleh had himself a grand slam by getting Brian Daboll to join him as his offensive coordinator.

NFL analyst believes Cam Ward and Robert Saleh will have major success due to Brian Daboll

On Good Morning Football, NFL analyst and former NFL player Isaac Rochell picked the duo of Robert Saleh and Cam Ward as being the most successful HC/QB duo in 2026, and mentioned how the hiring of Daboll would be the "differentiating factor for Cam Ward.”

"Robert Saleh is not an offensive guru like Ben Johnson. But what he did was build a dream staff. Bringing in Daboll I think is what is going to be the differentiating factor for Cam Ward, before we see the sophomore jump, we start to see him make plays and the offense come together.” said Rochell.

Even though things didn’t go so smoothly between Daboll and the Giants at the end of his tenure, he brought the Giants to the playoffs and won a playoff game in his first season and he was doing a solid job with Jaxson Dart last season. However, Daboll’s biggest success was when he was the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills and had Josh Allen as his quarterback.

Allen became an MVP-like player and Daboll deserves a ton of credit for Allen’s development. Ward is already off to a better start to his career than Allen was. Now, Ward will get Daboll as his playcaller and Titans fans are hoping that the young quarterback can take a monster step forward like Allen did back in 2020.

The structure is all set for the Titans to succeed, now they just need to attack free agency and the draft aggressively to do an immediate 180-turn and compete at a high level in 2026.
