The Tennessee Titans didn’t just miss out on gaining the services of a solid player, but now they will have to face him twice a year for the foreseeable future. Mike Grafolo reported that free agent offensive lineman Wyatt Teller, who was released by the Cleveland Browns, is now coming to the AFC South to join the Houston Texans. It is a two-year deal for Teller as he will join a revamped Texans front.

The Titans were no strangers to the first wave of free agency as they went heavy on defense and also brought in some offensive help for Cam Ward. However, they still have positions of need that they need to fulfill. Right guard was a position and Teller would have been a perfect fit.

Now, the Titans must do whatever it takes to bring back Kevin Zeitler to fulfill their right guard position even though Tennessee did not initially re-sign him before the market opened up.

Texans may have forced Titans to do whatever it takes to bring Kevin Zeitler back

Zeitler just turned 36 years old this month and is still a free agent. He performed admirably for them at right guard last season. With this new coaching regime coming into play, having Zeitler back would complete the offensive line.

If the Titans manage to re-sign Zeitler, it would be his 15th season in the NFL and second with the Titans. Now granted, Tennessee may not be in a position to make a run at the Super Bowl. If Zeitler wants to keep playing, maybe he would prefer to join an immediate contender. At the same time, the Titans have done so much in free agency to where they could have a Patriots-like turnaround in 2026.

The offense for the Titans is shaping out to be solid. Wan’Dale Robinson was a quality addition, and the Titans managed to agree to a contract restructure to keep Calvin Ridley. Their offense could also use a dynamic running back (perhaps drafting Jeremiyah Love?).

However, nothing is going to matter more than having protection in the trenches. Houston is gaining a valuable offensive guard in Teller, so now the Titans have to act fast and bring in protection for Ward. Who better than someone that already knows the Titans and has the chance to be part of the start of organization's turnaround?
