The Tennessee Titans are officially no longer winless as they picked up their first win in the Robert Saleh era against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. The Titans were down 13-0 to the Colts going into halftime and then the Titans scored 20 unanswered points, eventually winning 26-20.

With the Titans being a bit desperate, taking down a division rival was the best way to get in the win column, especially on the road, too. While the Titans are celebrating this triumph, the Colts have made a huge change with the firing of their general manager, Chris Ballard.

Titans' win over Colts ends Chris Ballard's tenure in Indianapolis

Tom Pelissero had reported the initial news, announcing that the Colts will now be looking for a new general manager. While Shane Steichen will stay on as head coach, a new GM will be brought in which could affect Steichen's future with the organization.

Ballard was with the Colts for 10 seasons and he finished with a 72-82-1 record with just one playoff win. The Colts never won the AFC South throughout his tenure. Not to mention, Ballrd has been going through a QB carousal ever since the sudden retiring of Andrew Luck just before the 2019 season.

Ballard faced a ton of criticism the last few seasons with the construction of the roster. It got to the point where it felt like he and Steichen could have been fired after last season. Both of them mananged to keep their jobs, but now Ballard is out just six weeks into the 2026 campaign.

The 2-4 start for them is rough enough, but then to add on blowing a 13-0 lead against one of the few winless teams in the Titans was the final straw. While the Titans have some momentum on their side (finally!), the Colts could now become a team that is set to go through some changes over the next year depending on who ownerships brings in.

Titans fans may see Colts make changes for the better (or for worse)

Change can be scary, but it can also be necessary. The Titans have done it a lot the last few seasons with bringing in GM Mike Borgonzi, firing HC Brian Callahan, and then eventually landing Robert Saleh.

Now, the Colts will have new leader in the front office and the vision that they will bring could affect the Titans, whether it's for better or for worse.
