It’s no secret that the Tennessee Titans have been one of the worst teams in the NFL since Mike Vrabel was fired. While Titans fans had to go through the Brian Callahan experience, Robert Saleh and Mike Borgonzi are now running the show and there is a great amount of promise.

After a solid first wave of free agency, there is a lot of hope going into the NFL Draft. Tennessee currently owns the fourth overall pick and one player that has been consistently mocked to the Titans is running back Jeremiyah Love out of Notre Dame. He is a dynamic playmaker and quite frankly, he is the best prospect in this entire draft class.

With the Titans needing an upgrade at running back, drafting Love would make the most sense. On the other hand, there is also a world where the Titans could make a splash of a trade for an already accomplished running back in the league.

Titans listed as a top landing spot for star RB De'Von Achane

Everyone who follows the NFL knows that the Miami Dolphins are in a rebuild, and the only true star player they have is running back De’Von Achane. With Jaylen Waddle getting traded to the Denver Broncos last month, Achane remains as the only star that Miami has and he is heading into a contract year.

Even though general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has said that Achane is not available for a trade, we have heard that saying before a trade eventually happens.

Moe Moton from Bleacher Report listed the Titans as a landing spot for Achane if he does end up getting traded, and a blockbuster trade for Achane could be exactly what the Titans need to kick off their first year with a new coaching regime.

"In a potential trade, the Titans could package running back Tony Pollard with a second-rounder, an early Day 3 pick and an early-round 2027 pick. Pollard has eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in four consecutive seasons, but he'll soon turn 29 in a contract year. The Dolphins would receive a lead running back and multiple picks, while the Titans attempt to jump-start their offense with Achane's speed in Year 2 with Ward under center." said Moton.

Obviously, a trade really does seem unlikely but nothing is impossible. Until Achane signs an extension with Miami, the idea of seeing him get traded should not be pushed to the side and disregarded.

Tennessee needs dynamic playmakers on offense. Getting someone like Achane to pair with Cam Ward would give the offense a new element they have been lacking for what seems like a long time now.

Trading for a running back and then giving him an extension would be a risky move, but Achane is a solidified Top 10 running back, but he certainly plays like he is the best at times.
