The Tennessee Titans entered the offseason needing to totally reshape their cornerback room. General manager Mike Borgonzi quickly went to work when free agency's legal tampering period opened. The Titans agreed to terms with two big-money players at the position in Alontae Taylor and Cor'Dale Flott.
On Monday evening, the Titans agreed to terms with a third cornerback. Borgonzi is signing Joshua Williams a two-year contract worth $10 million, league sources confirmed to Titan Sized. Williams joins Taylor and Flott in a revamped room.
Borgonzi was with the Kansas City Chiefs when Williams was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Borgonzi was the Chiefs' assistant general manager. It's possible he played a sizable role in drafting Williams then. He's now made the decision to bring the former Fayetteville State standout to Tennessee.
Titans sign former Chiefs CB Josh Williams to two-year contract in NFL free agency

Williams has made 12 career starts with 18 total pass breakups. He possesses terrific size at 6-3, 195 pounds with near 33-inch arms. Williams' presence will give Robert Saleh flexibility in the defensive backfield.
The Titans could start Williams and Flott outside with Taylor in the slot. Or Taylor could play the boundary with Williams as the first option off the bench. The Titans also have sophomore cornerback Marcus Harris, who played well at the nickel in 2025, albeit via a small sample size.
Borgonzi's reimagining at cornerback may be complete. The Titans undeniably have four NFL-quality defenders at the position now. They began free agency with just one, the inexperienced fifth-round pick, Harris.
Williams adds size, length, and competitiveness to Saleh's cornerback room. Borgonzi's past history with Williams probably played a large role in acquiring him. The Titans significantly improved on defense, and the latest corner helps raise the performance floor.
