The Tennessee Titans are heading towards free agency with more than $100 million in cap space. General manager Mike Borgonzi still has various sizable decisions to oversee. The Titans haven't re-signed any of their 29 (19 unrestricted) pending free agents, and several keynote names are projected to be cap casualties.
Arguably the Titans' most notable free agent is guard Kevin Zeitler. The Pro Bowl offensive lineman was signed to a one-year contract last offseason. Zeitler was his steady self for the Titans in 2025, earning Pro Football Focus' ninth-best pass-blocking grade among left and right guards. He was credited with allowing just four sacks and 16 pressures.
The aging Zeitler has expressed interest in continuing his playing career. Free agency's negotiating window opens on March 9th, with an official start date of March 11. The Titans are racing against the clock to re-sign Zeitler before he begins weighing alternative options.

The Titans' offensive line showed significant improvement down the stretch of the season. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward was sacked on just seven occasions in his final five appearances. Ward routinely had cleaner pockets to operate from, and Zeitler played a huge role in that protection.
Zeitler produced the lowest pressure rate of any starting right guard in the league. The veteran lineman had a pressure rate of just 2.71%, according to data collected by Daniel Rotman. No other right guard boasted a rate below 3%.
Spotrac projects Zeitler to sign a one-year contract worth $9.2 million. The predicted term and financial compensation makes sense, given he turns 36 in March. The Titans paid Zeitler $9 million last offseason and can certainly afford a similar agreement.
The Titans have big plans for Ward in Brian Daboll's offense. Ensuring the protection is up to par to support a more exciting and aggressive passing attack is crucial to the offense meeting its potential. Assuming Zeitler is content to continue playing for a rebuilding team, re-signing him is a no-brainer decision Borgonzi should make before he can negotiate with other teams.
