The Tennessee Titans will enter the 2026 NFL Draft with major holes across the offensive line, specifically at right guard and center. The team cut starting center Lloyd Cushenberry with a failed physical designation attached to the move. Elsewhere, Mike Borgonzi hasn't re-signed right guard Kevin Zeitler, creating an offseason hole that wasn't filled in free agency.

As currently constructed, veteran free-agent signing Austin Schlottmann is slated to compete with sophomore Jackson Slater for the starting center gig. That much can't even be said about right guard, where Slater could perhaps get into the mix. The only semi-notable signing there was below-average, but experienced NFL guard Cordell Volson.

Naturally, the Titans have shown interest in interior offensive line prospects during the pre-draft process. They recently hosted Kentucky linemen Jager Burton on a pre-draft Top 30 visit, league sources confirmed to Titan Sized. Burton is a player who would quickly compete for a role.

Titans pre-draft visit with Jager Burton could flip the depth chart

Burton was the ultimate swiss-army knife for the Wildcats. The Lexington native started 47 contests from 2022-25 at left guard, right guard, and center. The Titans likely appreciate that experience and versatility. This past campaign, Burton started all 12 Kentucky contests at center.

Burton was also super athletic at the NFL Combine. The flexible interior blocker ran the 40 yard dash in a blazing-fast 4.94 seconds despite weighing an adequate 316 pounds. Burton also leaped a 28-inch vertical and 9-foot-3 broad jump. Those results were 88th-percentile or better, per MockDraftable, and his 10 ⅛” hands are 74th-percentile compared to other centers in the historic database.

Burton projects as a Day 3 selection, but he probably won't make it to undrafted free agency. He's a durable and versatile experienced starter with above-average play strength on film. Burton has arm length deficiencies, but those are usually better-hidden at center, where he played this past campaign.

Burton possesses the overall profile of a late-round prospect who could develop into a starter for the Titans.
