The Tennessee Titans have made sweeping changes to their offensive line this offseason. General manager Mike Borgonzi paid a premium to Dan Moore Jr. via a four-year, $82 million contract to play left tackle. Veteran guard Kevin Zeitler also inked a one-year contract to replace Dillon Radunz inside.

The tackle position has especially captured Borgonzi's attention this summer. By signing Moore Jr. to protect the quarterback's blind side, the Titans will also be moving JC Latham to right tackle. Latham played on the left for the Titans as a rookie, but will be sliding back to right tackle, his position in college.

With Moore and Latham as guaranteed starters, the position-based storyline at training camp will focus on who wins the swing backup roles. Current options include Nicholas Petit-Frere and Jaelyn Duncan, a pair of underperforming draft picks who weren't selected by Borgonzi. It turns out the Titans are assessing options to replace Petit-Frere and Duncan. They are hosting veteran free-agent tackle George Fant on a visit, according to a new report.

Titans hosting OT George Fant on free-agent visit

“There’s a couple other teams that I’ve been talking to, but those two are really intriguing to me,” Fant recently told Joseph Person via The Athletic. “Obviously, Baltimore being a contender and Nashville being where I live at. So I’m definitely interested.”

Fant was limited to two appearances for the Seattle Seahawks last season due to injury. The veteran swing tackle has played 101 games with 75 career starts since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2016.

Signing Fant would go against Borgonzi's supposed blueprint in free agency, one that specifically targeted incredibly durable players. Between Moore Jr., Zeitler, and safety Xavier Woods, Borgonzi has focused on signing players who remained incredibly healthy throughout 2024. Fant can't claim the same, though it's possible this formula matters less when adding backup players.

The Titans also signed Blake Hance in free agency earlier this offseason. Hance has played both tackle and guard throughout his time in the NFL, with the majority of his experience occurring at tackle. He's not a lock to make the roster, but his chances are decent considering he previously played for offensive line coach Bill Callahan in Cleveland.

Signing Fant would provide more veteran depth, competition, and experience behind starters Latham and Moore Jr.
