Titans already favored to land an obvious Will Levis replacement in 2025

Not sure about this one...

Tuesday was a big day when it came to quarterback news around the NFL. With the postseason race heating up, fans were ready to see how a few select quarterbacks would impact their team's playoff positioning. The Tennessee Titans weren't one of those teams, but made headlines of their own.

While we saw an update on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' injury and the Atlanta Falcons choosing to bench Kirk Cousins in favor of Michael Penix Jr., the Titans also made headlines when they made a similar decision to the latter team.

Tennesee, of course, benched quarterback Will Levis going into their Week 16 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. It's going to be Mason Rudolph getting the nod for the foreseeable future, as the Levis era looks to be over in Tennessee.

While fans await the remaining three weeks' results in order to see just where the Titans land in 2025 NFL Draft order, there is now a possibility Tennessee could go multiple avenues at the quarterback position this coming offseason.

If the Titans land a top-3 or even a top-5 pick, maybe they have a shot at one of the top two or three quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft. Another option, though, could be taking a gamble on another team's recent change.

The Titans are a current favorite to land Kirk Cousins after he was benched by the Falcons

The Falcons are looking ahead with Penix, from here on out, and after less than one season with the team, Cousins is likely on his way out. And, at the moment, the Titans have the best odds at landing Cousins if he leaves Atlanta, per BetOnline.

Tennessee's chances sit at +400 with the Seattle Seahawks checking in right behind them at +450. The Browns, Saints, Giants and Raiders follow.

More Titans news:

Would Cousins be the type of quarterback this Tennessee team needs in order to compete?

That's a tough question, but gut instinct will tell most people, 'no.'

The Falcons thought they were just one piece away from competing this year and put together a similarly-competent roster like the Titans did. All they needed, in their eyes, was someone like Cousins. That plan backfired spectacularly.

The Titans, meanwhile, have a lot of new talent they've added over the course of the last year or so. Levis is clearly not the answer, but Cousins might not be, either.

Unless there's a report which comes out in the future that sheds light on an injury we weren't aware of with Cousins, he's regressed significantly. Cousins fell off after his Achilles injury, and there's no other way to put it.

Is he the answer for the Titans? Probably not. But, he sure seems to be a possibility according to oddsmakers.
