There are always plenty of rumors flowing at the NFL Scouting Combine, but Tennessee Titans fans should pay especially close attention this year.
The combine gives GMs, coaches, decision makers, and agents a chance to mingle and talk shop in the downtime between events, and a lot of the moves that shake the league start in these clandestine meetings.
So, why should this week be any more intriguing than past combines? Well, oddly enough, it all started with the weather nearly a month ago. A snowstorm across the country (specifically the South) made it difficult for most teams to travel to Mobile, Alabama, for the Senior Bowl.
Much like the combine, the Senior Bowl allows teams to start conversations with each other and with agents about moves that might be made during the offseason. Since the weather prevented a lot of those conversations from happening, teams and agents will be even more frantic to get things hammered out now.
Titans fans on high alert for NFL Combine rumors
Just a few hours into the NFL Combine, rumors already started flying about moves that the Titans might be interested in making at receiver (which was something that's been heavily speculated).
With the most cap space in the NFL and a new head coach, it is impossible for the Titans to avoid attention despite the NFL's usual disinterest in the franchise. With less than two weeks until free agency, teams are starting to finalize their strategies for the offseason, so keep an eye open and an ear out for any rumors about the team's plan over the next week.
This should come with a disclaimer that while there is a lot of real information flowing, that doesn't meant that some rumors aren't just teams posturing with agents or trying to put up smokescreens for the NFL Draft. Fans need to take everything with a grain of salt and make sure that it aligns with what they know about the current regime.
Free agency is around the corner, and the 2026 NFL Draft is right behind it. Fans should be feeling more and more excited about the potential of this team if Mike Borgonzi and company really want to make this team better in Robert Saleh's first season.
