Shedeur Sanders' first two meetings show possible lack of interest from Titans

The Tennessee Titans control the fate of about a half-dozen teams in the 2025 NFL Draft, including their own. Due to their need for a quarterback coupled with past comments about not passing on a "generational talent" with their No. 1 overall pick, the Titans could go in one of about five different directions.

New GM Mike Borgonzi and president of football operations Chad Brinker may want to start off their respective tenures by tying themselves to a franchise quarterback. If they go down that road, look for either Miami's Cam Ward or Colorado's Shedeur Sanders to get some buzz.

In an odd twist of fate, however, Sanders doesn't seem to be getting a ton of love from the folk over in Nashville. His first two meetings have already been set, and the Titans are not one of the teams taking a look at him.

Sanders reportedly has meeting set up with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants, who are picked second and third, respectively, in this draft behind the Titans. As the draft process goes on, it seems more and more likely that one of those two teams will end up bringing Sanders to town.

While Sanders and Ward have pulled away and established themselves as the top quarterbacks in this class, Ward has seperated in the eyes of most draft analysts. If the Titans do end up going quarterback at No. 1 overall, Ward may need to get fitted for his navy blue helmet fairly soon.

Sanders would be an appealing prospect for Tennessee, as he possesses a great football brain and tremendous accuracy down the field. However, the Titans may have concerns about his propensity to take too many sacks and average arm strength when compared to other elite NFL quarterbacks.

The Titans had better hope both of those meetings go well, as they could bluff either Cleveland or New York into a trade-up for Sanders. With the L'Jarius Sneed move depriving them of a third-round pick, the Titans might need to restock their cupboards.

The Titans may end up with Sanders when it is all said and done, but it seems like he is very firmly not on their top priority at this moment in time. Given Tennessee's weaker division and superior collection of surrounding skill position talent, Sanders would be wise to at least gauge their interest.
