Football is here. The wait is just about over, as these Tennessee Titans will begin their preseason slate over the weekend.

The offseason is fully behind us, with several key moves made and chemistry building throughout training camp. Fans are hopeful that the 2024 campaign is going to be the official coming-out party for second-year quarterback Will Levis, as the team added a good amount of playmakers around him over the offseason.

In the preseason, fans want to see a little bit of what this new and improved team can do, but not too much as to risk injury. Let's dive into the preseason slate quickly, shall we?

Preseason Week 1 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Time/date: 7 p.m. ET, Aug. 10

Just days from now, the Titans will begin their exhibitions in a contest against last year's NFC champions, the San Francisco 49ers. There are many questions to answer going into this game, and of course the biggest one is whether or not the starters will play and how much they're going to play.

We can expect the Titans to play their starters, but likely not more than just a couple of series. Going through the game day routine and getting out there is the key, in this one. But we probably won't see Will Levis and company playing too many snaps.

Preseason Week 2 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Time/date: 7 p.m. ET, Aug. 17

This is the game we're likely to see Levis and the other starters play the most. It wouldn't be surprising to see them play into the second quarter, getting three-to-five series in total. On the other side, the Seattle Seahawks will be testing out their new coaching staff after watching the Pete Carroll era come to a close.

Preseason Week 3 @ New Orleans Saints

Time/date: 2 p.m. ET, Aug. 25

In the Titans' final preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, it's unlikely we will see the starters play more than one series, if at all. In the final tune-up before the regular season, the last thing Brian Callahan wants to do is risk injury.

When does the Tennessee Titans' regular season kick off?

Week 1 kicks off with the Tennessee Titans traveling to take on the Chicago Bears in the Windy City, Sept. 8. It'll be the first regular season start for this year's No. 1 overall pick, Caleb Williams, and his initial test will be against a revamped Titans defense. The Bears' defense finished as a top-10 unit down the stretch in 2023 though, too, so this could be a much closer game than some might think.

After Tennessee's Week 1 tilt against Chicago, they'll have the luxury of three out of their next four games at home, beginning with hosting Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in Week 2, then the Green Bay Packers at home in Week 3.

It isn't an easy beginning to the 2024 schedule, but if the Titans can somehow come away having gone 2-1 in the first three weeks, fans would be more than thrilled. At the very least, we want to see improvement on both sides. Hopefully, Will Levis gets a chance to show some things early on in the season and gives a vote of confidence to the organization for building around him this offseason.
