It still feels somewhat surreal that the Tennessee Titans are the team which holds all of the power in this year's draft, but here we are. After the 2025 Scouting Combine came to an end, the Titans were a big talking point.
We've heard reports of the Titans receiving calls in reference to the potential availability of the no. 1 overall pick. We heard plenty of chatter about veteran quarterbacks who may or may not become available.
All of the quarterback chatter is relevant for Tennessee, of course, because they don't have the position solidified. In fact, that's being generous. The Titans are truly in search for help under center, and that could come in a multitude of different ways.
Speaking of veteran quarterbacks, the Titans might be potential suitors for players like Aaron Rodgers, Justin Fields, Russell Wilson, Sam Darnold or even Kirk Cousins, should he become a free agent.
Even then, there's apparently one more wild card option for Tennessee which could become available.
Derek Carr could become a realistic quarterback option for the Titans
In one of his latest updates coming out of the Combine, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport mentioned New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr as someone who might find himself on the open market.
"Mickey Loomis says he expects Derek Carr to be the starter. If they're not settled on a contract for Derek Carr, if they want him to take a pay cut, I don't see that happening ... there is still a chance as of right now, Derek Carr becomes free," Rapoport said.
After floating the idea out there that Carr could end up becoming a free agent, Rapoport highlighted just two teams
"So you have a team like maybe the Steelers, maybe the Titans ... there are options out there for him," he said.

This situation is far from having real legs, obviously. However, if Rapoport said it, then it holds value. Even if it's a rumor, for now, the Carr situation is something to monitor if you're a Titans fan. After all, Tennessee currently has several routes they could go at quarterback.
What's one more option at this point?
No one knows just which way the Titans are going to go, here. But, if Carr becomes available, you can add one more name to a growing list of possible starters for the 2025 season.
Carr would be entering his third year with the Saints if New Orleans opted to keep rolling with the former Raider.
